Six local public health agencies serving the Missouri portion of the Kansas City Metropolitan area are working together to increase the effectiveness of food handler education. This course is approved in Jackson County and uses state-of-the-art programming which can be used on all computers, tablets and smartphones, without the need for any other downloads.
Do not buy the Food Handler Training if you hold a valid Food Protection Manager Certification pursuant to current food safety law.
Upon successful completion of your course and test, you will print your Food Handler Card.
The permit from this course is valid in the following areas: Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Grandview, Greenwood, Lake Lotawana, Lee's Summit, Lone Jack, Oak Grove, Raytown, Sugar Creek and Unincorporated Jackson County.
If you wish to use this food handler training in Cass County, Clay County, Independence, Kansas City, or Platte County,
you will need to take a proctored exam. To take the proctored exam, you will need a current valid picture identification along with the certificate from this course. Please call 816-847-7070 to schedule a proctored exam.
If you purchase the incorrect course, you will have to pay an additional $10 transfer fee at the Kansas City Health Department.
