In compliance with AB 2338, talent agencies are obligated to furnish educational materials addressing sexual harassment prevention, retaliation, and reporting resources, along with information on nutrition and eating disorders to their adult artists.

Enforcement of AB 2338, now codified at Labor Code sections 1700.50 – 1700.54, commenced on January 1, 2019.

Additionally, AB 3175 mandates that applicants for entertainment work permits, aged between 14 and 17, must undergo training in sexual harassment prevention, retaliation awareness, and reporting resources before being granted an entertainment work permit.

The enforcement of AB 3175, now codified at Labor Code section 1700.52, took effect on September 25, 2020. These legislative measures underscore the commitment to fostering a safer and more respectful environment within the entertainment industry.
