Attention RBS Alcohol Servers: Time to Renew Your Certification!
Attention RBS Alcohol Servers,
Exciting news! It's time to ensure your Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is up to date. If you were certified in 2021 your training will expire sometime this year.
As of February 7, 2024, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has deployed the renewal functionality, allowing you to recertify and continue serving responsibly.
To maintain your certification, here's what you need to do:
- Pay your recertification fee.
- Undergo training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, such as TAP Series.
- Pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of completing your training.
Don't worry about forgetting – we've got your back with reminder emails sent 90, 60, 30, and 10 days before your certification expires and a special TAP RBS renewal training price, of $5.95 for you. Plus, you'll receive a final notification once it's officially expired.
For License Administrators and Designees managing server rosters, you'll receive notifications on the first of each month for servers expiring within 90 and 30 days, as well as a final notification upon expiration.
Rest assured, your training and exam history will be stored on your dashboard for easy access. And if you recertify before your original certification expires, your new expiration date will be three years from the original certification date.
Ready to confirm your new training? No problem – there's no change to TAP reporting your training. Once you complete your course TAP automatically confirms your training, and your Training Received date will update accordingly.
