Do delivery drivers have any extra requirements?

All delivery drivers are required to adhere to the following comprehensive set of criteria:

1. Age Requirement:

   - Must be 21 years of age or older.

2. Driver's License:

   - Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license.

3. Background Check:

   - A criminal background investigation was completed within the last 12 months, including local, national, and motor vehicle driving records.

   - Criteria for the background check include:

    - A maximum of 3 moving violations in the past three years.

    - No major traffic violations within the last three years as determined by O.C.G.A. §40-5-142.

    - No records within the past seven years for driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

    - No convictions of fraud, sex offenses, or use of a motor vehicle to execute a felony offense involving property damage, theft, violence, or acts of terror.

    - Not listed as a match in the National Sex Offender Registry database.

4. Training Requirement:

5. Documentation:

   - Keep a duplicate of the training certification and the employment agreement of the retail licensee (or the contract with third-party services) inside the vehicle at all times.    - Delivery drivers are not obligated to get a license from the Department of Revenue. However, a retail licensee may issue a delivery certification card or document to the delivery driver or third-party service.
