Robots have already invaded the workforce, especially in fields like manufacturing where tasks are repetitive and dangerous for humans. Robots, on the other hand, don’t need breaks and don’t carry the potential for injury through human error. Many of these tasks will overwhelmingly improve when 5G networks enable more nuanced, real-time feedback between sensors and robots. Efficiency will skyrocket until the robot sensors become so sensitive that they form their own Robot Resources departments and start filing complaints on each other and suing their employers.

5G will likely find its way into even more dangerous activities like solving problems with nuclear reactors and underground mines, battlefield support and even earthquake rescues. Apparently robots are going to make all of our lives immeasurably better right up until the moment they all turn against us and bring forth the end times.
