Wyoming Mandatory Reporter Training

The purpose of this online course is to help all Wyoming Mandated Reporters understand their critical role in protecting children by recognizing and reporting child abuse.

Everyone who suspects child abuse or neglect should call the Wyoming Department of Family Services CPS Hotline to make a report, but Mandated Reporters are required by law to do so, with penalties for failure to do so ranging from fines and/or potential jail time.

In the state of Wyoming, Mandatory Reporting laws are very strict and all professionals are required by law to report Wyoming Statute Stat. § 14-3-205, which states that any person, agency, organization, or entity that knows or in good faith suspects child abuse or neglect shall make a report. Any person or institution that has cause to suspect abuse or neglect shall report. No professional groups or persons are specified; all persons are required to report.
